I posted a study for this work earlier in my blog.
This is the final drawing made with Caran D'Ache Grafstone crayons (6B) on paper. Size: about 40x60 cm.
I actually bought the total supply of Grafstone 6B crayons at my regular art supply shop a few weeks ago. I'm crazy about this material. They were glad to sell it to me, as most customers apparently buy cheaper brands. I've tried them too but they're 'scratchy', while my Grafstone just rolls across the paper.

I am really pleased with this result. I still feel it needs to be part of a larger setting, or a series of drawings. After all....what is he looking at...? There must be something in front of him, maybe far away at the horizon...?

I treated myself to some new material, and have tried out the Caran d'Ache Grafstone 6B crayon. I like it! I want to combine it with a white crayon to add extra detail in a light color.
This picture is 42 x 42 cm, and part of my personal collection.

These steps can be found in the village of Oia, Santorini; (there used to be a post office here many years ago). The view to the other side is sensational!

This is a color pencil drawing of a cat named 'Princess'. She belongs to the owners of hotel 'The Best', in Perissa, Santorini (Greece). Princess loves to doze in this flower pot on the terrace outside one of the hotel rooms.

This is my latest drawing, of our dog Nika. She has been with us since October 2011, when she was flown over from Crete. Her ears are not always in this position, but the look and pose are very typical.
This picture is part of my personal collection.
